Should we say, it is coming rather too late; the need to recognise and reward Ethnic Business Personalities in Nigeria, but just like the popular saying, ‘it is better to be late than never’, the fact that the project has taken its debut is a pointer to the appreciation of their importance to the contributions and enhancement of development in Nigeria.

There’s no doubt that, the impressive commitment and heroic roles of several ethnic groups to the advancement of modern day Nigeria- economically can never be under-estimated. Though, the great nation, Nigeria is fabulously an evolving atmosphere having been named the fastest growing economy in Africa, the land of plenty, milk and honey blessed with an appreciable wealth of resourceful human managers, world class economists and boardroom colossi, the involvement of different ethnic nationalities in both its body polity and business progression is in no small measure.

In our 21st century idea, we tow the unique, being first ever tradition of recognising the determination and competitive spirit of Nigeria’s migrant communities, both corporate concerns, large and small scales enterprise and indigenous efforts who have contributed immensely to its economic improvement. The Ethnic Business Awards are a testament and celebration of Nigeria’s multifarious business people. The project is aimed at rewarding entrepreneurial spirits of successful foreign personalities, groups, corporate firms, and loyal migrants who now see and call Nigeria their homes, and who have evolved their lives to contribute to its business landscape.
